Since this is a never ending battle, should come as no surprise that more rust was found. This time it is on the left (passenger side). Same crappy extended sill were install there.
When "surface rust" was closely examined, it was clear that it's rusting THROUGH to the surface. Removed Outer Sill to see internal damange. Not as bad as the right side (driver side). Will need to fabricate some new parts, as well as order a new outer sill. Same deal as the right, the extended sill will be used, but only after the "extended" part has been trimmed off.
This pushes the project back by at least two weeks. Projected finish date will be end of September.
